Our network's breeding philosophy centers on improving the Pocket Bully and XL American Bully breeds overall. Both parents of every puppy are healthy dogs — our partner breeders do their best to ensure they are only breeding top-quality, healthy dogs from excellent bloodlines. Because we want your puppy to be a perfect match, and to make sure none of our puppies ever end up in shelters or unwanted homes, we stand behind every puppy we sell with the policy outlined below.

1. 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee — Replacement or Refund

If your puppy isn't the right fit for your home for any reason, within 60 days of the date you take possession you can choose either a replacement puppy of equal value or a refund of the amount you paid for the puppy.

Important exclusions: Shipping and transport fees are never refunded or covered, whether you choose a replacement puppy or a refund — this policy is designed for serious, committed buyers only. To honor this guarantee, the dog must not show signs of mental or physical abuse, neglect, or improper care, and must have been vaccinated according to the schedule provided.

Why Our 60-Day Guarantee Is Different

Many breeders offer a "one-year health guarantee" that sounds appealing because it's longer — but buyers should beware: many of those breeders force you to give up your dog to them just to get a replacement puppy, with no cash back and no choice in the matter. By that point, most owners are far too attached to give up their companion. Our guarantee is built on fairness: 60 days, your choice of a replacement puppy or a full refund, and a satisfaction guarantee — ensuring the puppy is a good match for your home.

2. Veterinary Requirements & Prior Approvals

Mandatory 30-day checkup: Your puppy must be checked by a licensed veterinarian (DVM) within 30 days of taking possession, with results communicated directly to us.

Prior approval for medical procedures: Any procedure or surgery requires our prior notification and approval — performed without approval, the guarantee is immediately void.

Financial responsibility: All vet bills are the sole responsibility of the puppy owner. Pocket XL Bullies is not responsible for veterinary bills or medical expenses you may incur.

3. General Exclusions and Voidance of Warranty

We guarantee our puppies do not have health problems at the time of sale. This contract does not cover death, injuries, illnesses, or debilitating disorders resulting from accidents, neglect, or improper care, including:

Injuries from a jump or fall from an excessive height.
Illnesses or disorders from excessive exertion, physical exhaustion, or environmental stress — especially in hot weather, to which Bully-breed dogs can be uniquely sensitive.
Any condition from failure to provide standard, proper care, including inadequate nutrition, lack of exercise, or ignoring veterinary recommendations.

Critical notice: Failure to provide standard, proper care for your puppy will void this warranty in its entirety.

4. Mandatory Rehoming & First Right of Refusal

Our Lifetime Rehoming Pledge. Under no circumstances should any dog sold through Pocket XL Bullies ever be abandoned or surrendered to an animal shelter, rescue, humane society, or pound. If you can no longer keep, care for, or maintain the dog, you are contractually required to contact us first.

4.1 Right of First Refusal: Pocket XL Bullies retains the right of first refusal to take the dog back into our care. If a dog is surrendered under this pledge, no refund is issued, but we take full custody, evaluate the dog, provide veterinary care, and find a screened, loving forever home.

4.2 Third-Party Rehoming: If you wish to transfer ownership to a relative or close friend, you must notify us in writing with the new owner's contact details so we can approve the placement.

5. Veterinary and Transport Costs

5.1 Expenses: If the puppy is transferred back into our care — whether under this guarantee or the rehoming pledge — you are solely responsible for all shipping, transport, and travel nanny fees to bring the puppy safely to us.

5.2 Vet Fees: We do not reimburse diagnostic testing, medication, or veterinary consultation fees incurred during your ownership of the dog.

All claims must be submitted in writing via email and include your full name and contact information, the puppy's name, date of birth, and date of purchase, a detailed description of the issue, and supporting documentation (vet records, photos, videos).

7. Important Disclaimer

This Refund Policy and Health Guarantee is provided in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in Canada. It is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Pocket XL Bullies reserves the right to verify all claims and, at our sole discretion, determine eligibility for refunds or replacements.

8. Entire Agreement

This Refund Policy & Health Guarantee, together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Pocket XL Bullies regarding the purchase and adoption of our puppies.
